Century Tower, University of Florida, my Alma Mater -- Go Gators!. Completed in 1956, this iconic tower has become one of the most well known structures at UF. The concept for the tower began in 1953 when alumni raised funds for the tower in memory of students killed in World War I & II. In addition, the tower commemorates the 100th anniversary of the University of Florida which was founded in 1853. Whether you are part of the Gator Nation or not, this beautiful structure is truly a great subject.
