Description: Infrared photography reveals the ethereal beauty of nature. This photo was taken at one of my favorite hangouts in Gainesville, Florida -- Lake Wauburg. Maintained by the University of Florida (UF - Go Gators!) and student government, Lake Wauburg has always been a breathtaking retreat for me while I was a student and now as an alumni.

Like many nature lovers, I love hiking and exploring through parks and preserves via the many meandering paths.  I stopped at one end of a boardwalk and starred into a seemingly endless pathway into a canopy of trees and shrubs.  The moment was perfect -- calming sound of wind chopping through leaves and the inspiring view of a mysterious, yet compelling, pathway into nature.  The infrared filters truly captured the heavenly luminous glow that was invisible to my eyes but felt extrinsically.
